Hi, Its the face behind the camera
About Me
Hi, I’m Lauren — the face behind Lauren May Photography. I’m a UK wedding photographer capturing relaxed, natural and heartfelt moments for couples who want their day documented honestly and beautifully.
My approach is all about storytelling — capturing genuine emotions, real connections, and the little in-between moments that often become the most meaningful memories. I want your photographs to feel timeless, natural, and completely true to you, so you can look back on your wedding day exactly as it felt.
I photograph weddings across the UK and love travelling to new places and venues. Over the years, I’ve worked in locations including London, Reading, Essex, Nottingham, Ely, Liverpool, York, Oxford, Cambridge, Rutland and surrounding areas. Whether you’re planning a countryside wedding, a modern city celebration, a barn wedding, or an intimate outdoor ceremony, I’m always happy to travel wherever your story takes me.
One of the things I love most about wedding photography is that no two weddings are ever the same. Whether I’m photographing a venue I know well or somewhere completely new, I always approach the day with fresh eyes and creativity to capture your wedding in a way that feels personal and authentic.
When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me editing with a coffee in hand, exploring new places, or spending time with family and friends. Building genuine connections with my couples is such an important part of what I do, and I love creating a relaxed experience where you can feel completely comfortable in front of the camera.
If you’re looking for a UK wedding photographer for your wedding in London, Cambridge, Oxford, York, Liverpool, Nottingham, Essex, Rutland or anywhere across the UK, I’d love to hear more about your plans.
Award Winning.
I truly believe in telling the story of your day, the big moments to the small details. It all matters right up till the dance floor which is when you’ll notice is the oftern the only time I use flash. I use a direct flash approach to add the movement and party to your dance floor photos.
